Fossils smartwatches are getting Android Wear 2 0 tomorrow

Remember when Fossil said its smartwatches would be updated to Android Wear 2.0 in "mid-March"? Well, its very rare that when a company outs such a reasonably vague release time frame it then actually commences the rollout on the exact day that constitutes what its timeline implies. But Fossils doing it. So - "mid-March"? Thats March 15, no? Yes. And thats when you should expect your Fossil smartwatch to receive the coveted Android Wear 2.0 update. That is, if its part of the companys second generation of wearables.

Otherwise, you may have already received an update notification, because the rollout for first generation watches is apparently already underway.

Now all that you can do is wait, but you wont be doing that for long. There are many other smartwatches that should be getting Android Wear 2.0, but rollouts have been few and far between up until this point.

Xiaomi Redmi Pro Mini rumored with 5 2 inch OLED screen Snapdragon 652

The Xiaomi Redmi Pro was announced last week, and today a new rumor out of China says it will soon get a smaller sibling in the companys portfolio. This will allegedly be called Redmi Pro Mini.

The Mini version of the Redmi Pro is said to employ a 5.2-inch OLED touchscreen, down from 5.5" on the normal Pro. The smaller phone wont keep the bigger ones dual camera arrangement on the back - it will just have one camera and a dual-tone LED flash.

Its going to be powered by Qualcomms Snapdragon 652 chipset, which comes with a 1.8 GHz octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A72 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores. Three different versions will be made available. The one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage will be priced at CNY 1,499 ($225, €201), while opting for 4GB of RAM and 32GB of storage will require you to shell out CNY 1,699 ($255, €228). The top of the line model has 4GB of RAM and 128GB of stor age and should retail in China for CNY 1,899 ($285, €255).

Regardless of which variation you go with, youll receive a handset with 2.5D curved glass on the front, a fingerprint scanner embedded in the Home button underneath the display, 18W charging (9V 2A), and a 4,000 mAh battery.

You should probably view this with a healthy dose of skepticism, as its nothing but an unconfirmed rumor for now. Still, if the Redmi Pro Mini is actually in the pipeline, then expect to hear a lot more about it in the coming weeks.
